We decided to do Tortola this year and Jost next year. I think the ferry brings us to West End. How do we tour the island? Spend some timecruising Great harbor? Lunch ideas?

Sorry, but not sure what your question is. Are you landbased on Tortola and wanting to know what to see/do...(Was confused by the Great Harbor comment), or are you just taking a day trip while being landbased on St. John? Or are you asking about what to do with a day on Jost? Will give you some suggestions when I understand better..

We are staying on STJ and want to take the ferry to tour and enjoy Tortola, just for the day.
I believe we dock at West End. What is the best way to see the sights, must-dos, lunch? We can rent a car from Hertz for about $83 day. Are there tours available? Do you recommend a taxi-and is the price negotiable? It looks like Road Town is the hot spot, but is there a beach to enjoy as well? Is it worth it to tour the entire island?
We have been coming to STJ for 5 years now, and this weather is the best! Hot, warm, bath temp water, lots of sun! Here's to "limin in de coconuts"!
