Hello forum,
BillVT, Mrs BillVT, two of their friends, Mr Lovermont and I hiked out to Ram Head this evening. It was a great time to go. The temperature was perfect, and the breezes were refreshing. (djmom - although I don't know your kids, there were some young children doing this hike. I definitely think it's do-able.)
After the sun actually set, we waited for a bit for the moon to appear from behind some clouds. When the moon did not come out, we started our return trip. In retrospect, we should have been a bit more patient because the moon came out about 10 minutes later, and as it rose in the sky things became more illuminated. The reflection on the salt pond was beautiful; unfortunately it was nearly impossible to capture on the camera.

It was totally worth the trip out there. Next time I'd just hang out a bit longer.
