Honestly, I'm not sure, Dave-O.
The Pusser's Marina Cay is what I found as a destination option for lunch on the way back from a potential charter to The Baths.

Go there for the great drinks, because it's fun, the views! But don't go there for the food!! After 5 times I have NEVER had a good meal there and most times not very good service

Hi Jim, when John and I did the New Horizons II powerboat to the Baths we stopped at Marina Cay for lunch. The views are great, the island is cute, but we did not like the food at all. However, it is possible that we ordered wrong. We had the grilled fish of the day, while most people around us were eating burgers and other types of sandwiches. We also did not try the painkillers since we were going snorkeling right after lunch, but people who had them said they were great!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

After the first level 2 painkiller, I didn't really care what the food tasted like. I did a level 3 after that and found myself sitting under a thatched roof table on the beach out front in f-in heaven.

Marina Cay Experience

Post by stltimmy »

I agree with the more recent posters. The island is small (6 acres), and the surrounding water/island views are spectacular. They make up for the lackluster service (I know, its island time) and mediocre food. I have been there twice, and each time we both ordered different items. So I don't think it matters a lot what you order.

Both times we visited, we were on New Horizons II. Highly recommended. Marina Cay is perfect to get a little energy after your hike through the Baths, and on your way to snorkeling. After lunch, its nice to take a dip in the beautiful water, or check out the gift shop.
