villa recommends for 3 couples

Post by 2muchsnow »

Just as I was lamenting the fact that our last STJ trip was fading fast from memory (NOV), and having no foreseeable STJ trip on the event horizon. It was announced by our traveling friends they want to back with us to celebrate their 20th next year. We also convinced another couple to go with us (he will be wrapping up his doctorate). me ? I don't need an excuse ;)

So here is the task. Villa recommends for 3 couples. relatively equal rooms with privacy- yes, pool yes, hot tub – maybe, views yes. Dever's Bay, Chocolate Hole areas. Affordable - great. Planning off season fall.

It's way out there I know, but at least it's out there.
Thanks guys. I'm starting my own quest as well, but if you've found one that you like, let me know.

we stayed at Calypso del Sol last year and used all 3 bedrooms. Not couples but family. Everyone was very satisfied with the set up. There is one bedroom with King on the main level and 2 similar rooms on lower level but still with view and outdoor seating area.

One thing to know about this place is that the only bathrooms are en suite. There is no general bathroom for the house. We did not have an issue with others using the bathroom located in the upstairs bedroom when necessary.

Any questions feel free to ask. I posted a picture review on this site if you want to take a look in the review section.

Location is Choc. Hole.

Ambiance - Upper chocolate hole. GREAT pool. The three closest to equal masters I've seen to date. Pretty affordable split three ways.

Beach Music-- formerly Cygnus wasn't bad. Not as fancy as Ambiance but you've got beach access on Choc Hole. Two upper bedrooms are a bit nicer than the lower-- but the folks in the lower level have a lot of privacy.

Keep in mind the whole Ponde Bay development thing. I know some of it is complete but I'm not quite sure how that development is affecting Choc Hole these days.
*Another fine scatterbrained production

I second Calypso Del Sol. Whole house AC, fabulous view and the pool is to die for.

My fave for 3 couples is probably Long View (formerly known as Lyon's Pride).
GREAT spot.
I loved Plumeria, as well, but the views from Long View were unbelievable.
Good luck- and always

Third vote for Calypso del Sol. Fabulous set up and everyone will have an ensuite king and plenty of veranda space.

seeking villa

We stayed at Far Niente recently and loved it. We just had two couples, and we each had a king suite, but there is a third bedroom with two beds. It is close to Cruz Bay, but very private and peaceful. Awesome pool deck and landscaping. We have stayed lots of places and it was our favorite so far.
