Who wants a shopping challenge?

Post by pipanale »

Last summer, my wife saw a woman on our Limnos adventure wearing a gecko belly button ring. What made it cool was that the body (the part that went through the hole) was also hinged. So, the head and tail sections went back and forth.

The woman said she bought it at Havensight.

Does anyone want to keep an eye out for me? If you find one and buy one, I'll not only pay you back, but I'll personally see to it that you are rewarded in the afterlife.

Or, if you know of a store there with a website that I may be able to search, let me know. I won't pay you for that, but you'll still get the reward

Thanks!

I will ask my piercing obsessed daughter. She visits those kind of websites all of the time and wishes she could get a bunch of piercings.

OOooo! I want one too! Just got my belly pierced a couple months ago on a drunken whim (seemed like such a good idea at the time  ).Now that it has FINALLY healed, I would love to change it out. I will search on the net to see what I can find. But I want one too if anyone finds it first. Cute!

Oooh, I'm always on the lookout for a new belly ring and always do the St. Thomas shopping one day out of our trip so I will be glad to check it out for you. I will be there in 15 days so I will let you know if I find anything.

So exciting -- great idea! I just bought these:

Sun (which is so perfect):
http://www.bodycandy.com/cgi-bin/item/4685

and Lizard (a different one than I posted earlier)
http://www.bodycandy.com/cgi-bin/item/90719

We should all get them so we can be "twinsee's" when we meet up! Ooo, a marketing opportunity to have one that is a charm that says St. John or USVI or something! Quick, call a blacksmith to make that

You asked for it..

http://www.jewelrybynet.com/14k_Gold_cu ... h-pj41.htm.

What should we have put on there? St.John or STJ? If you look down the right side we can even put it in a heart or go up or down. Decisions, decisions

Dammit! BugBlu 98 -- you ROCK :P

My vote would be STJ or USVI since STJOHN kinda slurs together without the period separating. And STTHOMAS would be dangling far down into nether-region area

Thank you all for the bevy of options...but none of those are it. It had no bedazzling on it.

Picture the hole in one's belly:
Head and front legs above the hole
Hinge somewhere in the middle
back legs and tail below.

There's one that seems to be it, but it's not hinged in the middle.

I don't even know. The only jewelry I wear is a wedding band, a $8 Walmart watch and a hook bracelet. Since I look like Chewbacca with my shirt off, you'd never know I had a way awesome belly button ring.

Oh thank you so much, I try. Can you tell my husband???? Do you like the ones that go across or the ones which hang down? Do you like the hearts before and after or plain. White gold or yellow gold? Are we ordering are own or should I order for everyone and send them out?

pipanale -- is this it?

Chewbacca with your shirt off?? I'm sure you're wonderful with or without a belly ring!

And, yes, BugBlu -- will gladly tell the hubby you rock :D. I am constantly telling mine how much I rock by saving him so much money by buying shoes, clothes, jewelry ON SALE! And I don't know which style belly ring I like yet! To tell you the truth my stomach is queasy just thinking about taking this one out! My hubby may have to do it. I'm SUCH a baby. I say we order our own personalized STJ or USVI ring. They're fairly pricey to have all needed put on one credit card!

I've had mine in since I was a teeney-tiney teenager so I have no problems moving mine around. I can tell you that mine took FOREVER to heal (as most people I know) but that when they finally heal they are healed for good. I have to admit that I don't really show mine off anymore. I'm not exactly 17 yrs old and 100 lbs. anymore. 20 years, 30 lbs, and 2 kids later I don't feel as comfortable in a half shirt

We'll all have to catch up and compare our custom StJ belly rings. It's a great excuse to tell my hubby so I can meet up with you guys!!
