Booked for St. Croix!

Post by pegoode »

After a great trip to STJ last year, we decided to check out STX this year. Staying at Crucian Hacienda in November. Looking forward to a new adventure!

After 3 years of STJ we are planning a trip to STX in Feb 2011. Change is good. Let us know how you like your villa choice!

Just saw your post about your upcoming trip to STX. Used to live on STX for 15 years. I don't know exactly where Crucian Hacienda is, but do know the vicinity. You'll love the area. St. Croix is a great island and often ignored by the mass tourists. Do make sure to post your trip report. I look forward to reading it.

I will post a trip report. There's not much on the boards about St. Croix. (Thanks to MargyZ who has been a big help!) Now I have my ticker set up!

We went to STX a few years ago and found it very enjoyable. Try not to compare it to STJ, though. Its like comparing apples and oranges. I look forward to reading your trip report.

After many trips to STJ over the last 20+ years we decided to check out STX in '07 and are making our fourth trip next month. We'll be back to STJ but we're not quite done with STX yet - it's such a laidback place. There's still more to see/do, more beaches to plunk out butts on, and more great restaurants to enjoy - it might take us a few more trips. IT seems to only take us about two steps down the plane steps to get into island time there. Our niece and nephew in law are joining us for a few days as part of a longer STX diving vacation - they are going to dive The Wall and do the Vertigo, a couple of wreck dives and a pier dive in F'Sted. It will be fun to show them around.

pegoode & dejavu - happy planning! pegoode: you picked a great villa - high above the southeast shore with incredible views.

I love the look of Crucian Hacienda---that open-air living area looks great.
