That's Pirate Jeff, LMG, Pirate Wench StJohnRuth and flip-flop. (Darkanddietwithlime was there earler, but she missed the web cam appearance.)

Every time someone walked by I'd say "Hi!" and LMG and flip-flop kept reminding me that I was supposed to say "Aaargh!" and seem a little more menacing.

Flip-flop told everyone that I was a "Pirate In Training".

No children actually showed up for the stories. I had this cool kids pirate music thing going on, but then the battery on my iPod speaker thing died. I will definitely get an extension cord for tomorrow's event.

There was one little girl who passed by and got some treasure from my awesome treasure chest, but no story.

I walked home in my costume and ran into this same little girl and her parents coming back into town for dinner and she gasped in awe when she recognized me. It was quite magical, she was really non-plussed to see me walking along in my costume. She promised to come back tomorrow at 5pm and let me read a pirate story to her so that I wouldn't be disappointed again. (She also asked where the Pirate Guy was.)

It was a fun night. Story hour for at least one, tomorrow.

So can we make it tradition that Ruth tells at least one pirate story at every forum gathering?
