snorkeling near/in the immediate Cruz Bay area?
Is the snorkeling below Gallows Point condos limited to Gallows guests?
Does anyone one know about snorkeling near Coconut Coast ---Frank Bay or Turner Bay?
Finally, has anyone ever been to the Wednesday sunset receptions that Elaine Estern (artist) has at her gallery there at Coconut Coast?
Thanks!

Hi snorkelqueen (great name!),
Access to the snorkeling entry from the dock at Gallows is for guests only. However, you can see the same stuff and snorkel in the same place by getting in the water at Frank Bay and swimming over. Just be careful getting in because Frank has lots of urchins. There is good snorkeling all over Frank Bay in addition to the area in front of Gallows. I've found turtles and lots of fish in Frank Bay, it is worth checking out.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I am glad that someone asked this question because we are staying at the villa immediately above Gallow's Point this summer. We have stayed at Coconut Coast on Frank's Bay. I agree the snorkeling there is decent, but there are a lot of sea urchins you have to get past. I have also walked from the Natioanl Park Service Building there in town along some trails to some decent snorkeling spots right in town. They are about a 20 - 30 minute walk to the beach.
