Could it be????

Post by parafins »

There's a chance that the "Parafin" family might return this summer...It seems that I have been able to pull together some extra cash to do this.It would be a budget vacation no doubt, but who cares as long as there's a beach and a snorkel mask. Our other vacation option would be the Smoky Mnts. Of course this would be more on the luxury side. What would you choose? :D If this happens it would be "feet in sand" around June or July.. :D keeping my fingers crossed!Parafins

I'd go with bare bones STJ over luxury anywhere else anytime.

If the Fin family can do it, maybe there is hope for the PA family.

It was a no brainer for us...Budget trip to St John. Even though we cant stay as long as I would like. We found a great deal on air and figured we could do without a car and just get one for a cpl days...Heck I was even willing to baresite it at Cinnamon in June.
As far as the Mtns...they will be there and you can always go there later..They are best seen in the Fall anyway...Good luck with your choice...:)

We would pick the Smokeys...but then hey we'll be on the Rock in 12 days with the kids. But being from Michigan and boaters and have a cottage...we love the summers in Michigan and wouldn't do STJ again until the fall.

But either place is awesome

Parafins,

Gotta say being from Michigan too and just coming out of winter (granted it was not a bad one as MI winters go :D ) we would pick STJ hands down. There will be plenty of summer left here in MI to enjoy when you return. That said, our advice would be...go where your heart is.

Thanks for all the support! Even if I could not go anywhere this summer I would not suffer.I'm blessed to live on a large creek that takes you up to 3 lakes.I just went for a canoe ride yesterday and enjoy it.The only down side to living on water is higher taxes and BEAVERS!! Yes, beavers that cut down trees and leave me the mess to clean up! But that's nature for you! :D Parafins...
