Thanks for the report! Sorry about the weather but it sounds like you managed to have some fun. :D
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

The weather cooperated after Sunday. Not nice sunny skies, but the rains held off until I was halfway to Charlotte Amalie on the ferry on Thursday :)

Great report! How wonderful to have a little trip all by yourself!
We're SO hoping to make a quickie trip too, after we move. All of our vacation/St. John stuff is already packed into our suitcases. All we need is to have a little money left after closing..... (PLEASE GOD!)
Could you compare Grand Bay to Cruz Views?

Money after closing - you would be the first

I'm not familiar with Cruz Views, so really can't compare. My guess is that Grande Bay is a larger complex, closer to town and new.

Well, we're HOPING to have some. We're selling alot of extraneous stuff and living frugally and hoping to have some cash remaining. And maybe the $8K check will come quickly. We've been saying many many prayers
Is there a website for Grand Bay?

Nice!

You arrived the day we left and darn right it was cold!

I started my trip report but I need to download and sort through the 800+ pictures I took.

There is a website, but it is geared toward sales and not rentals; in case you want a second closing.

There is a nice video on on-st-John and it gives Kim Morris' contact info - she handles several units.

Ruth mentioned that there is a rental here: http://www.stjohnescape.com

And there are several on vrbo.

I have rented through Kim twice.

Janet, what a great report!! And you sure did manage to get a lot into those few days. I'm so glad you were able to make the "unplanned" trip. And thanks for the pictures that took us all through your visit. I'm like Terese, so jealous!

I enjoyed your trip report! When I first started reading your trip report I feared that you were going to have crummy weather the whole time. I am so glad that you ended up having good weather and it looks like you have a nice break away.

You know I haven't travelled alone but I agree that it would be so nice to go when you want to go, stay when you want to stay, and do what you want to do!
