Please help us choose a villa

Post by smthsaln »

We were originally going to spend a week on Tortola late July, we're now thinking of spending just 3 nights there and 4 on St John, which somewhat limits our villa choices. Some of the villas that are open and will allow 4-night rentals are Waterlemon, Sun, Moon and Stars, T'ree Palms, and Coconut Hill Cottage. There are just the two of us and the rates are pretty close, would appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks, too many choices!

My wife and I stayed at Coconut Hill last April! It's wonderful! Perfect for two! Amazing, amazing, amazing views. Great layout! Very nice!

You could check out La Dolce Vita in Coral Bay. We stayed in the efficiency and loved it!!

Appreciate the feedback, please keep them coming! We did look at at Luna Vista and will check out La Dolce Vita. Villa Margarita seems like a great deal, looks like it's Upper Carolina, good location? Our needs are simple, killer view, pool or hot tub, and maybe A/C.

Another vote for Coconut Hill. We took a tour of Coconut Hill during our stay last year. Recommended to a friend who went in December. She and her family loved it. Well decorated and killer views. You'll wish that you'd booked it for more than four days.

Thanks Roberto, Coconut Hill Cottage is on our short list, the view looks amazing. How about Sea Turtle Villa, anyone have any feedback on it? Thanks again!

You mention "maybe a/c" on your list; since it's late July, I definitely recommend looking for a/c in the BRs--living area if up high will get tradewinds and you'll be fine, especially with a pool. But for sleeping at that time of year, unless you're comfortable with all the doors & windows open, you may get very sweaty without a/c in the br's.

Also, personally, I don't think you'd get much use out of a hot tub in July, since the pool--if it gets any sun at all--should be plenty warm!

Thanks to all who responded, so many villa choices, so little time! We selected Sea Turtle, everything about the villa sounds amazing, including the owners Rich & Cherry. We're very much looking forward to our visit.
