Day Trip to JVD
Will be in St John starting 3/27 and want to book a sail to JVD. Have done this many times with the Charter from the Westin but would like to spend more time at White Bay and don't necessarily need all the frills that come with that. Any recommendations on Day Sail Captains?????

For sailing I would recommend www.waywardsailor.com, but to get there faster, I can't say enough about Capt John with www.palmtreecharters.com. IMO, you can see a lot more during your day if you go via power catamaran than sailing.

I would definately suggest staying away from the package kats if you want to spend more time on White Bay.
I would love to book with Capt. John some year but he would need to find some wonder drug for my wife. She is not a boat person and feels more comfortable on a sailing kat.

Life begins where the land ends!
We've gone to Jost with Capt. Han on Fly Girl several times. We usually book him through Trevor at the kiosk in Mongoose Junction. Excellent sail. We've also been out on his Hobie cats snorkling which are quite an experience. www.sailsafaris.net

Seasickness
We are thrilled about our first trip to STJ in June. Would love to do a day boat trip but my son and I get seasick (don't even ask about our day trip in Maui last June - it was a full day ON THE WATER-big mistake even taking Dramamine). Are catamarans less likely to cause seasickness? And do most of the boats stop on land for a time or is it all on water? Thanks!
