Post by Captain John »

Here's a picture of a new lot in Cruz Bay next to Natures Nook.

I can't don't know how to post a pic here so you have tp go to Facebook, sorry.

Captain John, is this for anyone or have to be a customer of Palm Tree Charters as the caption says?

Being a newbie, have never experienced the parking woes on STJ yet but have read enough here to know it can be a challenge. So this would be big help.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.

Even if parking is restricted to PT Charters, I am happy to see that lot cleaned up.

What used to be there? I can't quite picture it.

That's it though...on this summer's trip, I'm taking a ton of photos in town to use for future reference after we get home.

This has always been public parking, but often with a few derelict cars--it was heavily used by people who commute to work in St. T., so seldom had space available after 7 AM.

Hope we can park there for our charter day with you John!!!! Woohoo!
Tell me exactly where it is, please! We stay in Coral Bay so Cruz Bay confuses me somewhat...

Nope! You can't park there for free. You'll get fined $500.00! Yea that's it $500.00! Especially in 2 months and 1 week. The most heavily ticketed week in St John! Bad idea to park there then. Yessiree!

We have always parked there. Thought it was Denzels till last trip when someone on the board posted you could park there. It's right before Mongoose Junction as you head out of town on North Shore road on the right. Right across the street theres also a small parking lot but we don't seem to have much luck with that one. Bevm glad to see ya posting a little I missed ya girl :D

We have always used that lot too! Parked there all day when we went out with Capt John!! Was even able to find parking on a Saturday night for the All Island Christmas Party!

Here's another angle from last May, maybe it'll help pinpoint the location:
