Lavender Hill

Post by bag0515 »

We are looking to stay at Lavender Hill in a one bedroom unit. Does anyone have a favorite unit and if so, why? Are there any units to avoid?

Since we will not be renting a car, how is the walk up the hill?

We haven't stayed in them for a while. They are all decent units and you won't go wrong with the closeness to Cruz Bay.

The walk back isn't bad. You go up a small hill and veer to the left, which is another sneaky small hill. If I can do it anyone can.

One the benefits is that you can walk into town and take a taxi out to the beaches. We did that for about four years and would rent for a few days to drive to the far end of the island. But the availability can be a problem and if you are without a car, you would be pretty much limited to CB and the North Shore beaches.

2W & 8E are the two 1BR units with the larger wrap around decks. I would prefer 8E simply because it also has the poolside view. However...all 12 units have decks and you simply cannot go wrong! Not long now...

2 & counting...

5W is our favorite 1 bedroom unit. Deck overlooking the pool and one out front. I have been in 1W, 2W also and have no complaints at all. Lavender Hills is a good choice.

The walk up the hill is nothing. Its the short entrance of the driveway thats a calf killer..
