Crabby Shrimp Cakes...yum!
I found this recipe on mixingbowl.com, and tried them for the Super Bowl. They're Blaine's new favorite appetizer, so I'm making them up for dinner tomorrow, again.
This would be an awesome make-and-freeze-ahead appetizer to take to St. John!
They are GREAT out of the oven, but once really cold, not so good.

I keep my freezer stocked with these. They are great when we have unexpected guest.
Servings: 10
Prep time: 15 minutes plus freezing time
Cook time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 stick butter room temperature
1 - 5 ounce jar Old English cheese spread
1 1/2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 to 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
2 - 6 ounce cans lump crab meat drained and chopped
1 - 4 ounce can shrimp rinsed and chopped
6 English muffins split (wheat is best, regular ones get soggy)
For the sauce
1/2 cup mayo
1 to 2 tablespoons horseradish
2 tablespoons cocktail sauce or ketchup
3/4 teaspoon garlic chili sauce (optional)
Directions:
Mix butter, cheese, mayo, garlic powder and Old Bay together.
Add crab and shrimp.
Spread onto muffins (I use quite a bit).
Freeze on cookie sheet. When frozen put in zip-lock baggies.
Bake frozen in 400 degree oven for 12 minutes.
Broil on low for 3 to 5 minutes until browned on top.
Cut into fourths, serve with my sauce, cocktail or tarter sauce.
