Advice on trip insurance
Who has gotten trip insurance, who do you use, what kind of coverage do you get? We are traveling in July...is weather covered? We actually used our trip insurance before in July when a hurricane was heading for Jamaica and our flights down were cancelled. What is the opinion on travel insurance? And how soon do I need it...we are still waiting to buy airfare. Thanks, Kim
We always buy it for the health benefit component - some buy it for the loss of the hotel or villa, or car rental, etc. if they can't travel - it will also cover tropical storms and hurricanes if you have bought the insurance before the storm is a named system.

I always purchase it for our St John trips because there are no villa refunds within 60 days of arrival. I know some agency's will give a refund minus a fee if the get the villa re-rented, but I am not willing to take that chance. There are several other advantages to buying it as well. CSA is a sponsor on this site and I have used them in the past. I have never had to file a claim, but their rates are very reasonable.
