The BEST Flip-Flops

Post by flip-flop »

Ok so I saw the cutest flip-flops in the Eddie Bauer Summer catalog today and it got me thinking. One would think with my forum name and all that I would be quite the expert on the flip-flop.

I am a huge fan of J. Crew's, esp. those with the cute little embroidered critters. Also a fan of the leather bjorn thongs (don't get excited boys...the ones between the toes). But STILL I think you guys surely know of some great brands/sources that have escaped me.

....just trying to stay on the 12 step program that will allow me to survive the next 200+ days till STJ.

Hey Flip-flop! Have you tried "Pure Juice"? http://www.purejuice.com/purejuice.html They're my FAVORITES - comfortable and they wear a LONNNNG time.

There's also a local flip-flop maker in San Clemente (the town where I work) that's called "Rainbow Sandals" - again, excellent, long-wearing shoes. All the surfers wear them and the strap is really comfortable! http://www.rainbowsandals.com/

Happy flip-flopping!

Gurkees. They are washable and they float. People always comment how cool they look.
When will I see St John again?

My favorite are the Reef Stingraye. I used to be able to get them at the shop outside of Skinny Legs, but now even they don't have them anymore. And they are so hard to find online! I think they are in danger of being discontinued.

You're ON! I know the BEST Mexican restaurant down in San Diego! They make their own tortillas on-site. YUM! And they have a nice bar! :D

I vote for REEF and I have a pretty good Sketchers pair.
What is the best pair to hike in? I have been trying to find something that was good for walking that wasn't to hideously ugly. I was going to avoid bringing gym shoes.

Hiking! Shaaaaaaa. Please, Flip-Flop does not hike. It would ruin the entire slug like existence I have worked so hard to perfect while on the island ;) My idea of a good hike is the path down to Jumbie with my man lugging all the beach stuff, and flip-flops are just fine for that!!!

You'll get lots of votes for Tevas probably but I think they are UGLY too. My husband always gives me a hard time for being all about aesthetics and not at all about function! I don't care. One must be cute!
