Pictures of Rhumb Lines Anyone??

Post by Taghan »

This might sound like an odd request, but does anyone have any recent (within the last few months) pictures of Rhumb Lines? We're having our wedding reception there and wanted to know what the garden space looks like.

If no one has any pics, is anyone who is going to STJ soon willing to take some for me??

Thanks for the help! :)

My brother-in-law got married on STJ in November and they had their reception at Rhumblines. The garden area was very nice and meticulously put together. The owner and her staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. There were about 60 people in attendance and a great time was had by all. My only complaint was that the lighting (or lack thereof) made picture taking a little tough, but really it was lovely and the pictures on the website do not do it justice at all!

Rhumb Lines is my FAVORITE restaurant on STJ - we spent our 29th anniversary there this past January 14th! I only have a couple of photos of us there (which our very sweet waitress offered to take of us :-))- but they all have dark backgrounds - not affording any views of the restaurant itself :-(

I will tell you - it is LOVELY- a Gardeny-Islandy-Somewhat Bohemian feel... the food is FABULOUS - fresh, unique, and surprisingly reasonably priced!!- The staff is SUPER - sweet, attentive...

You have made a wonderful choice!!!
Peace,

Lisa

We just ate there last week, but the only photo I have is of DH and I and you can't make out the background. It is a very pretty outdoor setting that seems perfect for a St. John reception - after you walk through the convenience store to get inside. :) Of the restaurants we ate at I thought Rhumb Lines had the best ambiance.

They have a website and I bet if you shot them an email they'd send some pics.

Did you look on their website?:

I also found these online:

Honestly though, none of these pictures do it justice...the atmosphere is very cool there at night. It's a great choice! The only thing that you might find weird is that you have to walk through a convenience store to get to the restaurant.

Perfect place for a wedding. My buddy had his rehearsal dinner there in December. They rented it out the place and it worked very well. They had about 75 or so people there.

Beware of the kooky owner though....she likes to be very involved in the party. She got up and made a quasi-toast, out of nowhere.

The rest of the staff though is great. My favorite place to eat (with La Tapa) on island.
