car barge update?

We are leaving tomorrow for STJ and this is our first trip there~ so excited!! Could anyone provide an update on the car barge schedules? Thanks a lot!

One company running with two barges. They leave on the half hour from STT and STJ. Well that is today - tomorrow could be a whole different story - heck this afternoon could be a whole different story

Is 6:30 the last barge? We arrive around 1pm (hopefully the storm won't delay us... ) but wanna do a little shopping/sightseeing first in STT. Since it's Saturday I'm hoping we won't be competing with the commuter traffic if trying to get to red hook around 5 or 6?

Since this is your first trip I'd want to be on the 4:30 ferry so you can get to STJ and your villa in the day light that way you will have land marks to see. For the next day.

I agree with Waterguy - first trip to STJ, I too would plan on the 4:30pm ferry - keep in mind that if a barge is full you will have to wait one hour for the next one and you don't want to plan being on the last of the day just in case you don't get on, and you want to arrive on island in daylight for sure.
