Delurking with Easter question

Post by tara »

Hi all!
Although I have posted a few times I would definitely consider myself a lurker, and for that I apologize. One problem is I am unable to post from work:)

Anyway, now my husband has asked me to get some Easter feedback from you all. We are heading down to St. John this Friday through the 18th, and will be bringing our 4 year old and 1 year old. We are wondering if we should bring easter candy or if that will be available at the market. Any thoughts? This is our 5th trip to St. John but we have never traveled during peak season or during a holiday, so this is a new quandry for us. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Tara

I would bring the candy, a 1 and 4 year old do not need that much candy, I would also make a pail and shovel the basket and put some neat blow up beach toys in it. I would not risk the Starmarket or the drug store of being out of Easter Candy. Maybe Ruth knows what they have down there.

Thanks Betty, that is what I was thinking too. The 1 year old won't be getting ANY candy, but we will be getting a little for my son just for the holiday. I was thinking the easter bunny could just make a special gift of beachy toys this year:)

It would be cool if you did a Caribbean Style Easter Egg Hunt on one of the beaches with your kids. Take a lot of pics.

A little more on Easter Feedback:
St. John Folflore

I am sure many on thir forum have seen the egg shaped huge rock off the North Shore Road that overlooks Caneel Bay, this egg shaped rock is said to roll down to the sea and back up again each Easter.
Peace,
