Villa help-APRIL

Post by Marcia (Mrs. Pete) »

Very good friends of ours are hoping to come to STJ for a vacation in April (hush, I know it's late)...BUT, they have been through all of the links on this website (thank you, Anthony) and haven't had all that much luck.

Does anyone have any idea for this young couple who (shhhhhhh are expecting their first baby, so this is a reallllllllly special trip...) would like a villa close to Cruz Bay? They spent their honeymoon in STJ, so they know the island but, not villas.

Please let me help them...

Did they check VRBO -- especially for units in Grande Bay!
Quite a few show availability!

We've stayed twice in Time Out villa in Chocolate Hole & loved it. They have a few openings left in April at this point.

I've not stayed here, but have had it bookmarked for awhile.

It's open all of April right now (solidly booked until then.

Are you willing to share their exact dates? I just finished my villa selection process for April and could run through my spreadsheet to see if anything I looked at is open for their dates.

Yes, thank you, Becky! I emailed her this morning and got more details on their parameters:

March 27-April 17 for one week-may be able to go April 17-24...depends on what her doctor says about traveling...

Price point: $500/night or less
Want a pool with a nice view
Want privacy

They know it's still "high" season but oh well.

I've really narrowed it down for these guys. Their current favorite is Amani. Anyone ever stayed there before?

Haven't stayed there but I did drive up and look at it last trip. Love the views and the location of Amani but it is not terribly private. The pool is right above the road on Maria Bluff. Hale Lani is right next door, I stayed there and it was definitely more secluded by vegetation and higher up.

Hale Lanai made our short list this year but ended up being booked for our dates. There is a one week window open (from what I can tell on the availability calendar) in April...DSJ starts their off season on April 15th though....it might be worth a call to see if they'd neogtiate.

If they can go April 17-24, Coqui is open through Catered To. We stayed there a couple of years ago and it is great for a couple. Amazing views, the pool is very private, and you cannot see another house from the grounds. The photos on the website are old and fuzzy and don't show how nice the house is. This house would max out their budget though--coming in right at $500/night.
