This was not easy. I thought about it a lot, and I'm a little surprised by my own choice.
Pat Metheny "Last Train Home" from "Still Life (Talking)".
Download it, listen to it (a few times) with your eyes closed. Imagine being at your favorite beach. If it's working, your heart should go pitty-pat and you should be ready to run up and down the beach waving your arms with joy and think good thoughts about people you don't like. Amazing song, amazing artist.
Try it. If you really hate it, I'll try to make it up to you.

I hope I see you on the beach. Everyone else will be thinking "What A Weirdo!" I'll be thinking, "Ahh, Last Train Home."augie wrote:Ruth,
That is a great song, and although I saw it on the playlist on your web site I never thought of it in an island context (until now) - but it makes perfect sense.
I WILL have it in some form on my initial St. John visit this fall!

Funeral, wedding, baptism, day at the beach, breakfast, lunch, stuck in traffic, KOJ Adult Beverage nightcap. Whatever. Enjoy.

Pat Metheny...that makes me grin...brings back memories of bong hits in high school.StJohnRuth wrote:This was not easy. I thought about it a lot, and I'm a little surprised by my own choice.

Favorite Island Song
We stayed at Maho Camps for our Honeymoon, so my favorite song is Love Shack by the B52's.
