Cruz Bay Villas

Post by ToonMann »

I've searched the posts, but can't find anything on Cruz Bay Villas. It's a small condo complex -- 4 to 6 units -- located just above the hill from Cruz Views.

Has anybody stayed there? If so, what were your impressions?

Thanks!

My wife and I stayed there 10 years ago on our first trip to the island. They are nice little condos. Some have been upgraded recently and are in better condition then others.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I just booked one again in two weeks. Needed something last minute and they even had a special going. I must say that we are spoiled now that we have stayed in private villas ever since our first time there. So we will miss having a pool to ourselves.

But overall they a good deal and not in bad shape.

I haven't seen them, but from just looking at their website, it looks like the pool area and the views are nicer at Cruz Views. It could be just bad photography, though.

We've stayed there multiple times. The owner of the condo in which we stayed has just retired and is staying there in the winter, so we won't be staying there again.

I can only speak for the place where we stayed, but it was a very simple and comfortable place. A/C in the bedroom was a bonus. Furniture was also simple and comfortable.

The pool and pool deck are are not great. It's very shaded. The pool tends to pick up a pretty significant amount of leaves and other natural debris. We never even went into the pool. The deck area has one section which allows a nice view over Gallows Point and St. Thomas. It was a nice place to relax, have a glass of wine, and watch the sunset.

I would stay there again as a budget offering. However, I'll try Cruz Views next time as I believe their pool and deck area is much nicer. More sunny and more open. They both are decent value-oriented places to stay.

Good Luck! Have Fun!
