Found a problem with booking a last minute trip!

No rentals avaialable!! Been spending all morning trying to find a rental for Feb 8th thru the 14th. No luck so far. Really didn't want to rent at airport and take the car barge but it might end up happening. Oh well I will still be on island in 2 weeks :D

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. I am looking for car rentals. I have the villa taken care of. Just need to find transportation.

Since I've never seen someone rent a villa at the airport and bring it over on the car ferry, I knew what you were talking about :lol: :lol: :lol:

There are several months that it is not a problem, like August, September and October, but February is NOT one of them. If you find something at the airport still available, I would jump on it.

I just had dinner with friends last night who will be on island the week after you. They mentioned that they hadn't arranged for a rental car and I gave them the "OMG, you'll never get a car at this point" look. But, I brought up the long list of rental agencies that appear on the forum periodically, and they said they'd get on it today.

Good news - I just got an email that they found a car at Spencer's, after calling 15 numbers. Don't give up; you may still find something.

Good luck.

We'll be on STJ the week after you and had that OMG moment 6 weeks ago. It took some phone calls but we finally got something.

Might be worth asking to be put on a "cancel" list. You never know if someone backs out last minute, you might be able to get something on island.

Discount at STT 5 minutes from the airport. WE have used them 4 years now and they are great to work with and we like the car barge

Good News! Car problems solved. After all day on the phone I was able to get one through Varlack. Now just have to sit back and count down the days till island time!
