Okay, in all seriousness, pick up a copy of "Off the Beaten Path" and follow the instructions for going to Reef Bay. (the whole "rope on the pole by the brown house" thing.)
When you stand on Reef Bay and look back up the hillside, you are getting the same view that has existed since the island was formed. That's pretty da*n cool. Thank you Mr. Rockefeller...and all those other guys whose names I learned from my recently purchased DVD that I can't remember.

Wisconsin, smell the dairy air
Would it be frowned upon to have kids at the beach bar at a table down by the water? I am not the kind of mom to just saddle my kiddos up to the bar but the idea of them being able to play in the sand while we enjoy a drink, the good atmosphere and the apparently under rated food would be good.Steve S wrote:Beach Bar is on my list too. Last time we were there, there were a couple of kids playing on the beach in front of the bar and their parents were sitting at tables and going back and forth to the bar. I enjoyed watching the kids play.
I am not a parent (unless you consider my pets), nor do I ever plan to be, but I do love watching little kids play. I love that they find EVERYTHING to be so amazing. These kids were chasing something in the sand...must have been a sand crab or something, and they were having the time of their lives.
There's just something about the Beach Bar that I wouldn't miss if I were you.
