I am curious--by crowded do you mean crowded by St. John standards or really truly crowded?
I’d say that by the time we left Salt Pond, there were groups of people every 8-10 feet or so. One dinghy was pulled up to shore and a guy with a speed boat (definitely bigger than a dinghy) pulled it up to the shallows for awhile. I think a bus must have come too, because at one point about 20 people all showed up together. Not crowded enough to ruin our beach time, but I noticed it.
Have the jellies been making their appearance lately or was this a new occurrence? Pia mentioned seeing some at Lameshur the week before we were there. I don’t think it’s common but I’m not sure.
It appears to me that you and Loria are going to need to start planning your vacation week together.
I agree!

BTW-- LOVE your hubbies tie dye!
Thank you! DH made his shirt at a camp we go to each summer. I think it turned out great. I like this shot of our shirts drying on the line, with our friends’ shirts in front of the cabin next door.

Believe me - I love that camp as much as STJ! (Even more if you can believe it. Been going there since I was a kid and worked there in college.) It's the most amazingly unspoiled place... 130 acres of dune land and incredible lake front... and it is at risk of being sold off to developers. Some folks (inc. me) are trying to save it. (Anyone got $10M you don't know what to do with? Do you know any crazy wealthy Presbyterian conservationists? Sure, don't we all? Send 'em my way!)PA Girl wrote:So do I!Gromit wrote:Oh man!!
