Perhaps I ought not to have mentioned that my brother told me it was 6 degrees in Chicago yesterday.

Chicagoians hubby is one of our best customers where I work so I will be sure to tell him I saw his walk of woe this week! Yep 10 whole degrees today -13 tonight. You gotta love Chicago~ We are on island in 15 days !!

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Chicago. The local temperature is 3 degrees." Yep, that was the announcement upon landing! BRRRR

The bright spot of our return was our joyful reunion with our puppy Hendrix, who was very happy to see us! (And I know my parents, who watched him while we were gone, breathed a huge sigh of relief when we took him home.)

Thanks Ruth for posting the fun pictures. We had a great week - made even better because we got to hang out with the loria family. Trip report soon come.
