RickG Bay House ???

Post by budman »

Hey Rick,

We have last minute plans to include Bay House, would you happen to have any photo's of this villa? We haven't stayed this low in Coral Bay before, looking forward to walking to the store for a change!

Happy Holidays!

Hey budman, good thing I checked in... I've been, well, checked out with the season's follies.

Starting with the photo below (click) there are some views from the balcony. It's a good little spot and reasonably priced.

we loved our stay there...bedrooms were downstairs, each with own bathroom and decks...laundry downstairs as well. Upstairs was decent kitchen, living room, and great wrap around decks...step down to pool and yet another deck...

I'd drive down the driveway and walk to the store from there

Nice spot though.

You got that right!
Our party of 2 couples had a bit too much to drink at the villa a couple years back, and decided to walk down the driveway to hit Island Blues for a nightcap.
My feet were skidding through the toe-thong thingy more & more with every step! And that was walking DOWN the drive!
I don't think I should even bring up the walk back up!
I love being a moron.

Hey Rick, thanks for the quick response :D your photo's are always great and your advice is always right on and priceless!! We might be in store for another wintery mess later this week here in Northern Va, get your shovel ready....or just the beer and brats

Iluvstjohn, thank you as well! the driveway is steep, but I am probably a bigger moron than you, we stayed at Chateaux Margot on Bordeaux Mtn last year and I jogged/stair stepped up a very steep drive each day and down Bordeaux Road and back  I'm sure my wife actually called me a moron once or twice

Thanks again!

Hey Lisa,

Unfortunately....we have to wait longer than you :( look forward to seeing your photo's though. We have stayed all over the island and usually try to find a villa that is away from it all, but we are excited about this location, it's not like "downtown" Coral Bay is hustling and bustling  We hang out mostly at Skinny's, Shipwreck and Island Blues so it's location, location, location for us this year!

Have a great trip and a Happy Blue Moon New Year!

We have only stayed at Gallows which we LOVE... but decided to try something different this trip... and this time of year Bay House seems to offer a lot of bang for the buck!!

I will be sure to post photos of it!! :-)
Peace,

Lisa

Lisa,

Once you stay in Coral Bay you may never go back  FYI, you can find decent groceries at both Cocolobo and Love City mini-mart. I found that prices can differ greatly between the two stores. If you've never been to Love City make sure you continue all the way to the back of the store, you'll find produce and frozen items there. If you're breakfast people...Donkey Diner of course, but Big Belly Deli is right below your villa and the walk back up will apparently burn off a couple calories

Take care[/img]

I believe Big Belly has now closed - not 100% but 75% sure it has - I'll try to find out for sure :(

Another great spot ,to me anyway, is Aqua Bistro. I could sit at that bar for days.
-LOVE IT!
