St John Wedding in June suggestions for a walkabout after..
Hello all,
The crew over at TripAdvisor said this was the place for help.
I have a gaggle of people coming to St John staying at villas and resorts in June. I spent a few days there in Nov. to get a feel for the island and meet with and greet with the Church ( We are Catholic).
What would you suggest the bride to be and I do after the wedding ( and after that
) ? She as never been to STJ and we will be ditching the family for a few days on walkabout. We are both from the shores of NY and NJ.
Please don't say Caneel.... I was there.. and momma said if you can't say anything..
Anyway, Concordia, Yost, what do you think? She likes the low key island way..

Liam---Here are several ideas....stay in one of the villas you have rented on STJ for several extra days (this is the simplest), stay at Gallows Point Resort on STJ for a few nights, head over to Jost and stay at Sandcastle, get a chartered sailboat for the two of you for a few days, stay at Peter Island Resort (private island resort--expensive), stay at Cooper Island for a few days (private island resort---moderate). Enjoy!

I think Virgin Gorda would be lovely, but I also think the Love Shack on Lovango would be AWESOME! http://www.loveshacklovangocay.com/ Not to far away from St. John.

Welcome Liam! Glad you found your way over. You'll find so many helpful people here.
I love the Lovango Cay suggestion, but if that would be too remote for you, then Sailview is highly recommended and would put you on the other side of the island.
As far as suggestions on what to do.... What do you like to do? There are many hikes, jeep tours, snorkels and beautiful beaches.
Have you picked up the recommended reading: "St. John Off The Beaten Path" by Gerald Singer and/or "Feet, Fins and Four Wheel Drive" by Pam Gaffin?
