Post by Taghan »

Okay ladies I need your help! Sorry guys, I certainly don't mean to leave you out, so if you have an opinion, please share!

I'd like to hear your recommendations for a spa/salon on STJ. No, I normally would not go to the spa on my vacation, but it's for my wedding, so I need someone to beautify me! Here are the one's I've heard of, so please let me know your thoughts!

The Beauty Lounge - Mongoose Junction
Grapevine - Marketplace
Drift Away - Near the Westin

How are their services, what's the parkting situation, and most importantly, where would you go if you needed to get pampered the day of your wedding??!!

Bump for the bride to be.
I have no idea but I'm sure someone here does!
Congratulations!

I've been to Grapevine (though not lately and not since they moved to their new space). They had great staff, but again it has been 6 years or so. Parking at Mongoose can be challenging but I have never not been able to find a spot.

In June, we tried Drift Away. Very nice spa and staff. Comfortable but not stuffy. Not huge, but definitely nice enough. For a small group it would be fine, if you have 6 attendents it might be tight. Nice lounge for sitting, with truffles :) Great products. Parking is abundant and it is very close to Cruz Bay.

I've never heard of the other option.

I am not sure if you are looking for a massage, facial and mani/pedi or full on hair and make-up. If the former, another option is Nomadic Spa. They may even do makeup and stuff but not that I am aware of. Anyway, they come to you. I LOVE that. As you relax in your beautiful home away from home they come and bring everything they need. For me, it is the least stressful way of doing it!

Good luck!

Thanks for the info Flip-flop! I'm thinking about having hair, make-up, mani and a pedi done. It'll be a small group...not attendants for us as we're keeping it simple. Definitely myself and possibly my mother and one other.
