On island TR.Dec 7..Yep it was snowin back home

Post by Bill in Va »

Hi there my fellow sand fleas...I know I have been a little late in the updates but stuff happens and I did this last night and the TR vanished before I could send. Oh well let me try to recreate my genius. It was smokin by the way.
Quick stuff on interesting observations: Dingy Joe has a twin brother that works at the Westin. Saw him cleaning the pool as I was going on an early morning dive. I said to myself , whoa . I wonder if he sold the dingy operation. Turns out no he didn't. Next case. Sunday beach goin....you better get there early. The past two Sunday's have been an eye opener to us. LOTS of folks be wantin to be there. Lameshure yesterday looked like Hawksnest. Oh the first part of the unpaved road has really gotten be be a challenge. Don't even try unless you have a high oil pan 4x4. I told my Sweetie that we will hear some busted oil pan stories in the very near future. At Lameshure we had a great snorkel. Entered on the left side and after about 20 yards we saw Mr/Mrs lobster just hanging out in the rocks. A first for me at this beach since 1991. Lots of good guys were workin that day. Tangs,Grunts,Angels, Squerils and a cast of thousands in support rolls.
I did a last minute dive with Cruz Bay Water Sports out of the Westin with a guy that I met at the Red Hook Ferry. He and his wife were from Oregon and this was their first visit. We filled them in on a lot of stuff and he said he would like to dive so I said I would be in touch. First call was to Caneel to Chris Sawyer Dive ....BAD news they bellied up. Man it was a shock. I must have missed that if someone has posted it.
I have to go as we are having dinner with Mr Donald Schnell himself tonight. A very generous man. We are now in his villa The Beach Estate just up form his other villa he put us in. We stayed here two years ago. Just a cool place right on the beach of Great Cruz Bay...The sun has set on another fantastic day which I will talk about tomorrow..or the next day.Listening to Bing Crosby sing Christmas carols on the TV...got to love it..wind chill 81 degrees. .God bless....Bill
