I'm Sorry......
I'm Sorry......
Just a note to pass on my regrets....
We have come to the islands 6 years straight. This year has been a little "trying" and while we really want and need some time together, alone away from the kids and pressures of everyday "things", we were struggling with the cost of our loved USVI vacation.
I "sold out". Found a 7 night cruise for $439 per person to Mexico and booked this weekend.
I'll miss you Waterlemon and the turtles and stingrays.
I'll miss you Cinnamon Bay and the great walks along this long stretch of beach.
I'll miss you Trunk Bay - a tried-and-true, reliable old friend...
I'll miss you Magens Bay - our traditional first stop with calm waters, diving birds, and the best beach bartenders around!
I'll miss you Cruz Bay with the hustle and bustle of activity within this wonderful, small, no-stop-light area.
I'll miss you Morgan's Mango - our place for evening cocktails.
I'll be back - with my beautiful wife - next year. This year we're going to make new friends in Costa Maya, Belize City, Cozumel, and Cayman Islands. Forgive me old friend and I'll see you again. Our reunion will be all the better!

I know what you mean, damn economy. I'm still going tropical though. I booked a place ON the beach with a kitchenette in Jamaica for $99 a night taxes included. I can't stay at the no-tell motel down the street for that, lol. Flying free on miles, well like $60 bucks for the fees and trip insurance. Couldn't touch anything near that in the USVI or BVI for that price.
We really are excited about going on a trip together (that's the most important thing!) and to someplace warm!
We've cruised a LOT (Diamond on Royal Caribbean) and know what to expect. There's much about cruising we enjoy, but there's MUCH about staying a week in the VI about which we are both passionate.
Thanks for the comments - here's to a 2011 reunion with our favorite islands!
