Super easy, Mary Beth! Here's the recipe. I can't remember how many wings I had.. but for the amount you see in the picture, combine:
3/4 cup hoisin sauce
4 crushed cloves of garlic
4 inch pice of fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp. sambal oleok (I know I am spelling that wrong!)
1 tbsp. chili-garlic sauce
1 tbsp. sriacha
(or 3 tbsp. of any combination of the above)
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
stir everything together, dump in the chicken and let marinate at least one hour. Line a sheet pan with foil (very important!), place a rack over, and put the chicken on the rack (reserve the marinade).
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, bring the marinade to a hard boil for at least 10 minutes (add water if you need to). Remove the chicken from the oven, baste with marinade, raise heat to 400 degrees, and bake for another 15 minutes or so, until cooked.

Maine shrimp are in season. Last night we had some with striped bass in a roasted tomato sauce with fennel confit...they are so sweet and tender--and cheap!

Thought I would bump this back up. Surely you are all cooking tasty things for Christmas
.This is a new dip I tried and it is sooooo good if you like spicy stuff. It's not over the top hot but has a nice heat to it. No picture since my camera is officially dead since the last trip to STJ. Hoping for some after x-mas mark downs.
Spicy Chicken Dip
2 boneless chicken breasts cooked and shredded
1 cup mayo
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can Jalepanos - chopped
1 can green chilies - chopped
1 bag shredded cheddar cheese (2 cups)
Combine all and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. I would not substitute fresh for the canned jalapenos. There was kind of a thick sauce that you don't drain. Same with the chilies. Serve with tortilla chips. Yummy!!

California Girl, you need some real Vermont Maple Syrup with that! We're going to make "breakfast for dinner" tomorrow night. We've been chicken-sitting for our neighbors, and have some fresh eggs, and as I don't have time to do anything with them in the morning, I've decided we're having "breakfast for dinner".California Girl wrote:

Eventually the Dove squares fully melted so they could be spread over the top evenly.
Best box brownies ever and super easy to make.
