Anyone on Jost lately?

Post by Gromit »

Does Foxy have his "Old year's Eve" shirts for sale yet? I know the operation on STJ is making them again this year. I was just hoping to snatch one up even though we won't be there for NYE proper.

Anyone have any insider info?

Be sure to check the drink board on White Bay. VIOL drinks to be had. Thanks Ben, Lynn, Ruth and Ron, also St John Julie. We kept the available drinks closest to the front on the board after going through many so they weren't lost. That board goes all the way back to 2008. Cheers!

You can buy drinks for someone in advance and write them on the board for them to claim when they arrive. I think alot get lost in the wash.

Some June Boozin

Post by LiamH »

We are heading over for a bit of boozing in June.

Do you need passports to get a drink or does the capt just need to see them?

Would they get pissed if we brought our bag pipes. The Brits never like it when us Irish get roudy and sing rebel songs.. :)

Yes everyone has to have a passport, but you don't all need to go into customs - just the "captain" or designated person. And you have to be polite... and not mess up your forms... etc. :)

Liam,

I think the pipes might be a hit on Jost! But you better brush up on "Buffalo Soldier" and "Stir it Up" before you get there!

What part of Ireland are you from? Was in Dublin and Belfast about a year ago and really enjoyed both...even if it was a "business trip".
