Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Of course, on the top of the list of things I am grateful for is the ability to know this wonderful island and her many wonderful people and others who love her.

I wanted to share a little poem I found.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

So true! This year I am lucky enough to have both of my Uncles home for the holiday, whom I am very close with. They are both in the Army. One is a medic and the other is a Major Chaplain. The Chaplain is actually stationed at Ft Hood where the fiasco happened earlier this month. They have served 4 tours in Iraq between the two of them and we are so blessed to have their service for this great country!

So thank you Uncle Larry and Uncle Darrell!!!

Happy Thanksgiving all! Hope you enjoy your turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

May God bless and protect all of our service people.

I love the poem. It is so true. We have so much to be thankful for each day. Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done!

Have a great weekend! 8)

Just finished a great turkey dinner with my oldest daughter and husband.

We are thankful for having a good income and being able to have the money to travel and enjoy other environments.

Cheers!

I'm here at work. And for that, I'm very thankful. My wish is for all that have had trouble with employment this year to get an even better job than they had.

(don't worry, I also had turkey brunch with my Mom and Aunt before coming in and will be going to the wife's grandmother's for desert here in a few.)

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
