Kudos to Elaine from Sailview
I had posted an off-topic thread last week about a friend of mine who was thinking that she'd have to cancel her first trip to STJ due to finances with her business, and the anxiety associated with it. Yesterday she made the very hard decision that this just wasn't the right time to go on vacation, as there are too many things to take care of with her business, and the responsible thing to do is to stay home and literally "take care of the store."
She contacted Elaine at Sailview Inn, where she was supposed to check-in on Friday to tell her the bad news, and received a very nice email back from Elaine that was gracious and full of understanding. Now, I've never met Elaine, and I have never been to Sailview, but I was really impressed at her response to my friend. (The airlines could learn a thing or two from real people!)
So, today, on the day before Thanksgiving, I'm giving thanks to people who are kind and gracious.

The airline (Delta, I believe) withheld $150 on each ticket, and is allowing them to use the remainder before July 15, 2010. I'm not sure how much the tickets cost initially. She was resigned to the fact that there was money spent on this vacation that she would not see back again.XOXO wrote:Did the airlines let them exchange their flights?
