Grande Bay Condos

Post by sea-nile »

I tried to search for this and I know there are some posts out there, but I have some specific questions.

My husband agreed to St. John for our 25th in 2010. He likes to be able to walk to town (Cruz Bay). He also wants a good view and to keep the price down. I saw that the one bedroom condos go for $1400/week. He said, Book It!!
Here are my questions.

1. Has anyone stayed in a one bedroom and if so how did you rent it, through the owner? What was the price? Do they have an 8th day free or other deals?
2. Has anyone stayed in July?
3. What units have the best view (sunset view)?
4. Does anyone know of any owners who I can contact directly?

Thanks!

Hey Sea-nile~
When hubby says book it you better jump on it before he changes his mind!! :D

I noticed on the VRBO/cruz bay website that owners directly book their Grand Bay condos, so check there. The Bongo boys stayed there so check this out:

Good luck and happy 25th anniversary to you both!!

We're in a one bedroom next week. We booked through Kim.

Try searching on-st-John around march; there is a video and her contact info.

Book it soon; not sure how much the rate will increase once the pool is done.

We stayed in a one bedroom, the "penthouse". Great views and location. We contacted Kim at 340-998-1978 or dinghyjoe@earthlink.com. But we have friends that booked through someone else because they couldn't get a hold of her. I'll find out who and let you know. Here is a short review of our stay:

We're staying there the end of January and I found our rental very easily through vbro. My understanding is that every unit has a balcony that looks out over the bay (not sure if that is where the sun sets). The owner of the place we're renting said he thought the pool was to open this month.
