Your Best Villa suggestion for the following:

Post by KTinTX »

My wife and I made our first trip to STJ back in June, and from the first full day we swore to get the kids back there with us. Budget is pretty tight, but if I can get a better deal than the current $650-700 rt airfare from Houston we might can pull this off. So....you best villa suggestions to meet the following:

Summer 2010 (June or July)
2 adult + 14 yo son & 11 yo daughter
prefer a 3 bedroom, or something that would have twin beds.
prefer to keep it under $3000/wk
south shore, cruz bay area...not yet caught the coral bay bug enough to stay out there.
A/C in bedrooms

Hope that's enough info for some great suggestions. We stayed in Bongo Bongo for our anniversary trip in June and had the best vacation ever. And no, the target villa for this trip does not have to live up to that standard.

villa capiz has a great pool for the kids and adults. lower bedrooms have a king and twins. large rooms that lead to the pool.
I wrote a review and added pictures from our 2007 trip if interested.

La Collina is another good choice. Small pool, but lots of room for you all and well within your budget.

Tesseract through Privatehomesvi--in the same area as Bongo Bongo. Great pool, two beds in each of the second and third bedrooms, and easy on the budget.

Yo...We are staying at Gift Hill Main Villa through Deborah and Donald Schnell this trip on Nov 28th -Dec12th. I think it will be in your budget and all other needs. Look them up as they advertise here. www.artisticvillas.com
They also have rental cars that you get a discount on if you rent from them. We have used them for years. This will be trip number 16 by the way.PM me if you have any questions..Call Donald, Deborah or Eric at 800-253-7107..God bless...Bill

last year we stayed at Calypso del Sol and enjoyed that as well. The price by bedroom so if the kids can share a room it keeps the price within your budget.

Thanks...and keep 'em coming

Several of these were on the list I had started compiling.

If we go over budget I had looked at Gull and Splash, as I think the kids would love being right on the water.

Please keep those suggestions coming and maybe we'll catch a break with airfare and make this trip happen.

Check out Villa Belvedere. It's right out on Maria Bluff. You can watch the sunset from the pool every night, and the view of St. Thomas is spectacular. There's one bedroom right in the main building then two others attached. Great spot and very easy to get to - close to Cruz Bay. We rented through Destination St. John.
