Please welcome Apito St. John!

Post by Anthony »

We are happy to announce a new sponsor of the site today, Apito St. John:

Apito (Ah-pee'-toe) is a casually elegant and very private home on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The name is inspired by the language of the early inhabitants of the island, the peaceful Taino Indians. Roughly translated, it means "Infinity", which both describes the view and the length of time many guests may wish to stay once they've discovered this fully air conditioned, two bedroom, with pool, hideaway villa.

Completed in June 2009, Apito was built and furnished with the complete comfort and relaxtion of guests in mind. Visit their website for more photos, rates, and complete info.

We just got back from our stay at Apito and it was just perfect in every way imaginable. It was the vacation of a lifetime for us. I'll post a more detailed report after I get caught up at work.

How was the pool temp? Were you there in November? Apito is basically my first choice of a villa on a long list of many but since I am considering coming down the first few days of December I am concerned about the pool. I want it to be usable especially since this home does not have a hot tub.

Can someone help me out? I have never stayed in that area before and the shade looks plentiful at this house so I am concerned about the pool.

That is really the only "issue" I have with it that is preventing me from making a final booking decision.......

It really looks amazing. Great construction blog. A little bummed it does not have a hot tub. That could be a deal breaker for my wife and I.

The owners have said they are putting in a heater for the pool. The pool was a little chilly when we were there. This villa is amazing and we intend to return without hesitation.

I was wondering if they would opt to do that after some guests stayed there. Thanks so much for that tidbit! I will check in with them on that feature before I book............ Happy Happy Joy Joy!
