1.) Leaving the spoon key to the Beach Bar bathroom tucked away at the opposite end of the bar instead of where it normally is and watching the franti search while downing a few brews and playing a little connect four.
2.) Being as I am
3.) Most importantly, just being on St. John.

cj,
on stj last week with a physically challenged newbie (walks very slowly with a cane). i took a 6 ft piece of pvc pipe, cut in 3 pieces and glued union on 2 pieces and brought down in suitcase. hit beach joined together and instant waterproof walking stick. as you know easy access to hawksnest, maho and francis for floating and views. same for little lameshure. due to disabled passenger we were allowed to drive down to beach front shack at cinnamon but surf was up so no beach.
i believe crabby rents snorkel vests and i know he rents kayaks. rent one paddle across to hurricane hole and the 2 channels that feed in and snorkel the mangoves that aren't accessible form the road. could also do kayak from cinnamon to whistling cay or do the dingy thing form cruz bay but exit only when beached. getting in from water is a bitch.
friend also loved seeing the stone work and views all along new road into developement near haulover, dricketts bay? and the views of south shore from end of fish bay rd.
just remember to remind your crowd under no circumstances does your dr. want you walking on the hard tile floors that are in all villa kitchens so someone must serve you cocktails, snacks and food on the veranda/deck and do all the cleanup stuff.

CaptnJ warning on the Salomon hike, 90% pretty flat but to get to the beach from the trail ya have to do A pretty steep trail to get to and from the beach about a five minute hike. Don't know how mobile ya are but this could create a problem for ya.
Ok so ya can't hike or snorkel. I say ya can snorkel. Try it without fins and just use your arms to propell yourself. Thats the way I snorkel and have no problems. I also spread legs back and forth if I need to cover some ground. That will be out for you since ya just had surgery. Lots of places to snorkel with easy access that ya don't have to cover hardly any ground right off the beach.
Ok my three favorite things other than snorkeling, hiking and drinking would be.
1- Early morning Coffee with just me and the roosters watching the island wake up.
2- An all villa day just chillaxin and partying.
3- Getting Uncle Joes chicken and watch all the happenings on the street as we eat. That works at alot of local places that are right on the street.I just happen to like Uncle Joes. Woodys really works well for this also.

You are right cptnkirk about the snorkeling, I will use a vest this time. I just cant dive down to the bottom where I have to use the leg, but I will be in the water. Papabou, you are right I remember the surgeon saying something about tile floors. It might be difficult to convince my crew that I can snorkel, hike a little and walking the sand, but I will do my best to persuade them
