Newbie Question?

Post by Hawaii »

Hi - Do all the villa companies have the same price on a villa or can they be different?

They are usually the same, though Caribbean Villas charges a 5% service fee that most companies don't charge so you'll pay more through them. The thing is though that in my experience most of their villas don't rent through other companies so you get stuck with their fee.

Some companies are easier to negotiate with on price depending on the relationship they have with the owners.

Which ever company you go with I highly recommend making sure it is an on-island company. If you go to a website and they have villa rentals for 15 different islands, move on to another company.

Or could use the rent by oweners sites. I know of one vrbo.com They either live on the island themselves or use on-island managers for their homes. There is no fee for them.

Good luck.
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.
