We went out on the woody's boat last wednesday. It was fantastic- the boat is gorgeous- spacious and new. Our captain Kevin was fantastic as was his first mate Cassidy. They had water, sodas and some beer from the tap room on board. We normally use ocean runners. The woody's boat is bigger and faster so not only did we get to hit more places, it was very comfortable. We snorkeled the caves, the indians, went to the willy T for lunch, sandy spit for more snorkeling- then over to white bay for an amazing afternoon at soggy dollar bar. Though the boat is bigger, fuel cost was comparable to what we had paid at ocean runners. We settled up at Woody's where the first round of drinks is on them!! What a great way to end the day. I have only wonderful things to say about our day!!!

A group of us will be on St. John the 1st week of November. We've discussed a day trip - would you be willing to answer a couple of questions? How many people will Wet Woody's accomodate? I'd also like some understanding of what they charge? Do they only do full days or will they do half day trips?

I think Wet Woody - (Bar Tender) has a permit for 6 guests but I would check with them. There were 6 of us so it wasn't a factor but the boat can hold a lot more people. I can't remember what the base charge was before tips and gas but it seemed to be just a bit higher than Ocean Runner (which we like as well) but the boat is bigger, newer, and faster. That concerned me gas wise but I was pleasantly surprised the gas was about what we paid before. Apparently even though larger it is pretty efficient as Kevin explained to me when I asked and gas is also cheaper than last August I think. All in all the charges seemed to be reasonable but it depends on how many people are pitching in obviously- I think it worked out about $350/ couple for everything. Don't know about half days I think it's worth a call.
