Columbus Day! In Asbury Park, NJ (where I was born) they have a ceremony each year with a reenactment of Columbus landing on the beach...

In Canada it is our Thanksgiving weekend.
We celebrate it about a month before you.

no Holiday for me on Monday but woo hoo for Asbury!

Yes a few times - I grew up playing on that beach and boardwalk.

Columbus Day is celebrated widely in Massachusetts. I'm working, but the schools are closed.
