Which villa? A, B, or C

Post by jbell157 »

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and a St. John newbie, but I'm really excited about it! My fiance and I have made plans to get married in St. John in June and we are looking for a great villa to stay in. The three I have found that we really like are Morgan Point, Villa Catalina and Mar de Amores. We are looking for a place that is private, has awesome views, a pool, on the Cruz Bay side and is under or at $2000 a week. These three fit that criteria but if you guys have any other suggestions I would love to hear them! Also, if you have any reviews on these villas that would be great too! I'm eager to learn about St. John and am so excited to go! Counting down the days!!

Does Morgan Point fit that criteria? We're looking at it for next summer (group of 4 adults and one child) and it's closer to $2500 than it is $2000. But...we have 4 adults.

Morgan Point is one of our final 2. Personally, I'd prefer the other choice, but I may lose the vote. It's well-reviewed here and more than a few members have stayed there.

Good luck and have fun planning!

Congratulations!

I think I would choose between Villa Catalina and Morgan Point. I think the view from the pool deck is better from Catalina, but the view from the covered deck at Morgan Point is awesome and the hot tub is a bonus, although no view from it.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Welcome to the Forum! One of my best suggestions to learn about STJ, the island, villas, etc. is to read everything you can here on this Forum & ask anything you want to know. There are some great people here with TONS of info, comments, opinions, pics, etc for you to learn from. That's how I learned so much before we even got to the island our first time. For us, it made all the difference in our knowledge & exploring. Have a blast in your planning...it's part of the fun!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding !

Can't help you with the villa choices or any STJ info as we're newbies too- going for the 1st time next April.

But will say that the 2 books FFF & OTB are invaluable to us. They have such wonderful tips, guides and info and both are written by St Johnians. Would advise getting both. Have to order them on websites, couldn't find them in any bookstores up here. But get them within 2 wks.

Good luck, and think that no matter where you end up, it's going to be wonderful !!
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.
