New Year's Eve to Foxy's

Post by va2stj »

We're trying to get back and forth to Foxy's on NYE from STJ, but don't want leave at 1am on the regular ferry. Any ideas?

It may be because it is soooo hard to move around in the bay. There are so many boats that it makes it hard to get yours to land. We anchored out in the bay the day before new years eve. On new years eve, it looked like hundreds of boats making their way into the harbor. Wall to wall boats. It is the most congested waterway I have ever seen. We got in the dingy on New Years Eve and had to park it pretty far from Foxy's just to get to land. It is the biggest yatch party I have ever seen. The boat next to us woke up the next morning with people on it who had got drunk, could not find their way back to their boat and just slept there for the night. It is one great party, but be prepared for a huge crowd.

Check with Captain Kevin (borntorhumb.com) I know one year he posted that you could hire him to get you back and forth - not sure of pricing or anything.
