Private taxi service from CA airport to Red Hook

Can anyone recommend the name/phone # of a private driver who could take 6 passengers/luggage from the stt airport to red hook? Our group has expanded from (me + wife + 2 kids + father-in-law) to (me + wife + 2 kids + father-in-law) + (sister + brother-in-law + 3 kids + mother-in-law) = 11 people =

= family reunion!!

I've used Freddie of Dynamic tours (www.dynamictoursvi.com 340-473-9548) for the past 4 yrs. and have always been pleased with his service. He keeps his fleet in excellent condition, you'll have a nice clean air conditioned ride.

Another highly recommended taxi service is operated by Chris....his cell is 340-690-1581 and email is celizee00@hotmail.com.

We plan to use him for our next trip. I guess he is quite a chartacter and has some interesting Kenny Chesney stories.

I believe he charges a $75.00 flat rate from the airport to Red Hook....mia

I used Chris last week and he is awesome. He did charge 75. and I gave him 90. there were 3 of us, but it was after 9:00p.m. He told me Kenny was not in town and that made me stop looking for him. He says he always takes him from the airport to his boat. Nothing but nice things to say about MY Kenny.

cypressgirl, thank you. spoke w/ chris this afternoon and liked him. quoted me $15 per person to redhook, so $90 for 6 plus tip. also spoke to freddie of dynamic as per jofus's suggestion. his rate was a flat $150 per vehicle one way. at this point, looks like chris gets the nod... thanks again to all,

Sounds like a deal to me. I e-mailed him right before we left town and he answered right away from his Blackberry. He is very dependable and will be waiting with a sign.

We are using Dohms Water Taxi in November (http://www.watertaxi-vi.com/) and they recommend Christophers Taxi (http://www.watertaxi-vi.com/landtaxi.htm) who we will also be using.

Land taxi is $75/5 people. An extra $15 per person beyond that.

We enjoyed Basile's Taxi service when we were there last. He had 2 vans and took us to lunch before we finally made our way to the airport. His numbers are 340-776-8673 or 340-771-5759(cell).

We have used Chris twice and enjoyed it each time. He is a great guy. Interesting that he quoted a per person rate - I had assumed that his $75 was a flat amount.

Personally I did not tip him - it's his van, he's the owner who sets the rate. To each his own but I wouldn't think he would expect a tip.

Last trip from RH to the airport they were packing people into the "shared taxi" it was nice to avoid that ride crammed in a van with a bunch of people.

We too are using Chris after referrals from this site. I emailed him and within the day I heard back from him. He said he would charge $9.00 per person to Charlotte Amalie. There's 8 in our group.
