Latest news about Cloe and Bernards
This comes straight from the CEO. They are hoping to reopen Cloe and Bernards
within a few weeks. They are considering making it a tapas restaurant.
That is all appetizers. To me this sounds very exciting.
Gives you a quick food fix but with great tasting food as opposed to a burger.
Anyway that is the hope so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope it happens.

Hi Cindy in PA
Just a suggestion by somebody who has stayed at the Westin numerous times and has never dined upstairs. I've looked longingly many times, but with kids it was never recommended or a thought. I think that a tapas style place would be great personally. One consideration that the CEO should think of when planning for a future reopening is what is the clientel he is trying to attract. The Westin is a family resort. Those are the primary people who stay there and who are quite the "captive" audience. Most have children. A basic kids menu seperate from the adult menu would be a huge improvement in my opinion. The CEO has four resturants, this is the one that should welcome families and perhaps can become known as a finer dining option for families, but also welcoming to them.

Hoping for a USVI ticker in 2013!
I do agree 100 percent. We stay there alot at the end of our trips (Starwood points.) It seemed out of place, we would be walking out to the jeep to go to dinner and pass these people in super fancy outfits- like soap opera clothes.
If there was a good restaurant that had reasonable prices we would be more than happy to eat there. Tapas sounds great. We are tired and don't always look forward to driving into town. Actually the pool restaurant Snorkles is really good (but not open at night). We aren't very fond of the main dining room, nothing wrong with it, but very hotel-like and prices to go with it.

"Sponges grow in the ocean...I wonder how much deeper it would be if that didn't happen."
LMG- our most hilarious Westin moment was our first time on the island and we were arriving on the Westin ferry, and one lone woman is walking down the dock as the boat is pulling in. She is wearing a long white robe, a giant woven hat and huge dark sunglasses, high heels.
And Ned and I look at each other and are like "What the...."
First impression of St. John! Those were some major soap opera clothes!
sorry for the second hijack....
