Help me choose a villa....

Post by BasUR »

I have been researching villas for our next trip to St John. There will be 2 adults and 4 kids (18,16,13,10). I have "narrowed" it down to the following villas. Would love to hear any advice/recommendations. Trying to keep the cost down so that we can stay another week in BVIs.

Casa Bueno www.vrbo.com/251116
Flanders Villa www.flandersvilla.com
Villa Ventosa www.vacationhomes.com/20425
One Particular Harbour www.caribbeanvilla.com
Summer Wind www.caribbeanvilla.com
Great Turtle Villa www.vivacations.com
Coral Rays www.caribbeandays.com/st_john/1713_coral_rays/
Coral Oasis www.vivacations.com

Thanks,

debbie

Hey BASur - Our friends own Casa Bueno. It's amazing. Just gorgeous. The open area is very modern and there is a wonderful living room on the covered porch. I'm not saying how great it is because they are our friends. It's top notch. It's up on Bordeaux and the views are amazing! It's a great deal as well.

Good luck and enjoy the villa hunting!

Wow, your list looks alot like mine! We must have the same priorities on location and size. I'd love to help, but I havne't don't have first hand experience in any of those villas, although I have them all bookmarked :D .Let me know what you decide on and pm me if you have any questions I might be able to answer. Good luck!!!

I love the Bordeaux Mtn. location so my short list would be:
1) Casa Bueno
2) Coral Oasis
3) Summer Wind

I haven't stayed at #1 or 2 but we have stayed at Summer Wind twice and loved it and the location.

I wish I had a 2010 trip planned but nothing is on the calendar yet but those three would be my picks.

Okay. Now I have one more - Unicorn. It looks like a pretty cool villa with room for the kids to spread out. It is on the south shore overlooking Ditleff Point. Does anyone have any info on this villa?

I stayed at Casa Bueno. Loved the place/location. I can't wait to go back. Remember that one of the bedrooms is downstairs (not connected to the main part of the house) - if that makes a difference.
