Camera mounted on goggles

Post by SRT »

This camera was just mentioned on the CNN 5AM morning show. Has anyone seen these goggles or used it?

I got these for our trip last spring. Tried them out on dry land at home first to get the hang of the the buttons. It was hard to turn turn on/off when in the water. The camera shuts off automaticly if you don't use after a couple of minutes. It leaked after one try and never worked again.
I believe there is magic here...

We have this camera mask....used it last May on STJ & loved it. Ours worked great, never leaked & took surprisingly great pics & video for what it is. Hubby used it mostly so I'll have him get on later & respond more specifically to details for you.

Can you post some pics that you took with the camera mask? Just curious to see how they came out.

The mask works Ok especially considering its low cost. The LED indicators are very hard to see while snorkeling. Also note that it takes training to use it properly. What you think you are shooting is actually a little lower than what it captures. I went after a big barracuda at Waterlemon and the video came out as mostly framed on his underbelly and the water under him. The actual mask worked well for me, very close in performance to my regular dive mask. All in all, its been fine. It's safer to use than my Olympus waterproof camera and I don't worry about breaking it. Click on this pic to link to some sample stills shot with it. Image
