Sea nile - I might order that white ruffle dress. I mean, I almost have to with the brand being "St. John's Bay" LOL!

This is a great post, I've been trying to find something as well!

Thanks Ron, i bought one of these pullovers about 5 years ago at an aquatics conference and wear it all the time. It's beginnign to wear out and I hadn't been able to find it again. Just ordered myself some replacements. Thanks again

I have a couple of skirts (similar to the one in sea-niles jcpenney page - but longer and not as sheer).

The skirt and a loose T seemed to work pretty well.

The travelsmith catalog has some decent swim cover ups, pareos and sarongs, etc.

I've also had good luck with jcrew for cotton mini skirt type cover ups with drawstring waist. Finally, my swim catalog of choice, Lands End, has a variety of cover ups to choose from. I love, love, love Lands End. I know some people think their suits are too modest, but I think they are perfect for hours of active swimming and snorkeling.

About the Penney's cover-up - I bought the gauze coverup in a turquoise blue, looks real cute on. I wear a 12 and bought a large, but since its cotton, I shoud've got an XL. It'll shrink big time if I forget and put it in the dryer!

Jorge, I love that picture. I have about another month in the gym before I can get away with that outfit. Down 2 sizes and one more to go before I look as good as Barbara.

Oh man, this post is right up my alley. You've gotten some really great suggestions. Since I am a bikini addict, I of course have cover ups to go with every piece I own. You name it I've got it and I think I've purchased something from most of the places mentioned but one place I did not see mentioned that I've had good luck with is Dillards. If you have one by you, it's worth a look see. I think they are really diverse in their offerings. There are things for those who want to show lots of skin and things for those who want things more covered up.

I'm pretty good at finding coverups just about anyplace I go though. The others are right. Target is great. One of my favorites is from there. I also have pretty good luck finding them outside of anchor, department or super stores as well as catalog places (Venus & Victorias to name a few). One of my girlfriends also makes sarongs for me and she makes matching sun visors. I keep telling her she needs to market them they are so freaking cute. The great thing is there are now so many styles to choose from. Sarongs, wraps, draw string skirts, tubey dresses, longish shirts, etc. You really should have no problem finding something great, especially going into the spring season. Let us know...

cover ups

I'm an older larger girl and I understand where you are coming from
I'm hitting the islands mid june and am ordering swimsuits and cover ups. I found some at Metrostyle.com and Newport-news.com.
I think newport had a long shirt style dress and some pants for cover ups.

Sorry I havent had much time in the past week to read the forum, but wanted to add my favorites.

I love anything from LandsEnd, bathing suits/coverups.

I also love the Fresh Produce line. I always buy a new cover up dress while in St John at a little store in a cottage right before Mongoose Junction, after the public parking but before Morgans Mango. Can somebody tell me the name of the store, my credit card statement says St John Editions. Fresh Produce runs large and washes well, I love that the short cotton dresses have 2 pockets. This store has really cute flip flops too. St John Spice and this store are my 2 favorites in St John.

St John Spice has very nice reasonable sarongs, I bought 2! My sister in law had a long sarong and it can double as something to sit on if you dont have a towel with you.
